Hello Reader We hope that your new year has got off to a good start so far. For our first newsletter of 2026 we’re excited to share three new opportunities to get involved in growing a greener, healthier city. We’re currently looking for two groups of inspiring volunteers to join us as London Fruit Harvest Coordinator's and for Ranger's in the Borough Westminster, as well as welcoming applications for our new paid staff role of Administration Manager. Whether you’re keen to roll up your sleeves or bring your skills behind the scenes, there’s a place for you in our community this year. Could you be a London Fruit Harvest Coordinator?Every year London quietly produces an orchard’s worth of fruit. Too much of it drops, bruises, and disappears into the compost heap. In 2025 three fruit picking groups alone harvested over 7 tonnes of fruit that they donated to food banks and schools, and made into chutney and juice and shared it at community events. Could you help save the fruit and feed your neighbours? We are looking for folks who want to lead picking groups in their neighbourhoods - you might already be part of a community group and want to add this to their activities, or you may want to set up something new. You will be guided and coached by our fruit picking expert who is leading this project - Ranger Michael Stuart from Kensal to Kilburn Fruit Harvesters, and London National Park City will provide you with tools and resources. If you're interested in finding out more then sign up below and attend our upcoming webinar to find out how to get involved or apply to be a coordinator.
Warm wishes
